FAQ - Adhesive Strip Application and Removal Instructions Watch our video, where we talk about the product in Part I and then watch how to apply ScarArt in Part II! Four easy steps: 1. Remove the protective cover from the strip and apply adhesive side to dry skin. 2. Place wet cloth over the adhesive side, apply pressure and wait 30 seconds. 3. When the protective adhesive paper is completely wet, remove the paper by lifting it off. 4. ScarArt can be removed with adhesive tape, rubbing alcohol or baby oil. Warnings: ScarArt is not intended to be placed on open wounds or new incisions. Consult with a physician to ensure your scar is fully healed before applying ScarArt. ScarArt is intended for horizontal Tummy Tuck and C-Section scars. If irritation occurs, remove the tattoo and discontinue its use. Consult your physician if irritation persists. Ingredients: FDA regulated adhesives and colors: FD&C Blue #1, FD&C Yellow #5 & #6, D&C Red #7, Black Oxide and TiO2, Acrylic Polymer. FDA Regulated! ScarArt Tips and Tricks Tip: When applying ScarArt be sure to wet your hand towel ahead of time and make sure it is very moist but not soaking wet. Tip: The package contains two scar strips and two belly button accessories. Flip package to back side for instructions and cutting of scar strips for desired single usage. Tip: You will peel off the front plastic protecting cover and apply. The actual adhesive strip is sticky to give you control for applying and allowing you to grab your wet towel with out falling off. When applying ScarArt you will follow one end of your scar to the other and make sure it is lined up. There is a ghost image on the back side to help guide you. Tip: It is meant to look like a hip hugger that rests on top of your scar. If your scar is smaller you can cut the scar strip to just be the size of your scar. Trick: Immediately after applying your ScarArt it is best to wait about 10 -15 minutes before putting clothes directly over the strip. It will be a little sticky until it dries. One way to speed up the drying process is to take a hair drying on low heat apply from end to end of the adhesive strip for 60 seconds. Application is the key to having the best possible experience. *One great new tip is once you put the ScarArt strip on use a small amount of baby powder or loose translucent powder all over the ScarArt. It will dry instantly and you can choose to wipe off the powder leave it on it will help the ScarArt last even longer. Tip: The belly button accessory is optional. It appears large as it is not meant to circle the actual outline of your belly button that would be impossible to predict each individual size. You would center your belly button and apply like you would the scar strip with the wet cloth. Not every one likes both together. Trick: Some customers apply the belly button accessory around their nipple areola for a sexy effect and some customers have applied them around the areola to conceal a breast reduction scar where their nipple had been removed. Tip: When removing ScarArt, please remember that it is a quality ink and you will have to scrub a little depending on how long it has been on. I recommend using both rubbing alcohol and baby oil to speed up the removal process if it has only been on for a couple of days. If it has been on up to seven days, removal should be much easer.
